What are the upload requirements and restrictions for videos?

Here are some general guidelines for your video uploads. Since each file type and system offers many options, use these settings as a reference to get you in the ballpark. They have been tested to allow for the best quality and fastest upload.


File Type: 
.mp4 (recommended) will also accept .avi, .mpg, .mpeg, .m4v, .mov, or .wmv

Maximum File Size:
800mb

Resolution (Frame size):
Minimum Resolution 480p (854x480) - Maximum
Resolution 720p (1280x720)

Frame Rate:
24fps - 30fps (preferred)

Video Codec:
H.264
Progressive Scan

Audio Codec:
AAC
Sample rate 48khz

Recommended Bitrates:
Video - Minimum 2 mbps - Maximum 5 mbps (720p will look better at 5 mbps, but will take longer to upload)
Audio - Minimum 128 kbps - Maximum 192 kbps
